The Law Office of Liliana C. Yanez

Liliana C. Yanez is an immigration attorney and former law professor at the City University School of Law where she taught in the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Clinic.

For nearly twenty years, Ms. Yanez has been successfully representing clients on immigration issues ranging from marriage-based immigration, asylum, special juvenile status, DACA, deportations, and family and employment-based petitions, among other legal issues.

Ms. Yanez has extensive experience representing clients before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Ms. Yanez earned her J.D. from New York Law School and graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Latin and Ancient Greek. Before teaching law and starting her own practice, she worked in several private firms offering assistance to immigrants and the Building Service 32BJ Legal Services Fund. She was also a researcher at the Universitat des Saarlandes in Saarbrucken, Germany.

Ms. Yanez is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational German.
